TPF employs a comprehensive data collection strategy to assess program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement. This includes the use of standardized behavioral and medical assessments such as the GAD-7 for anxiety, PHQ-9 for depression, ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) to evaluate trauma, and safety and risk assessments to ensure participant well-being. These assessments provide critical insights into the mental health needs of participants across all four programs.
In addition to these clinical tools, TPF uses pre- and post-surveys to measure changes in mental health symptoms, stress levels, and family dynamics. These surveys capture both quantitative and qualitative data, allowing us to track improvements in emotional regulation, coping skills, and overall well-being. We also collect qualitative feedback from participants, families, and facilitators to ensure that services are responsive to cultural needs and lived experiences.
Moreover, TPF monitors service utilization rates—including attendance at therapy sessions, participation in wellness activities, and access to external healthcare resources—to ensure participants are fully engaging with the available services. This data helps identify any barriers to access and informs adjustments to outreach and support strategies.
TPF takes a longitudinal approach to data collection by tracking participants over time to assess the long-term impact of our interventions. This helps determine whether the improvements in mental health and well-being are sustained beyond the immediate duration of the program.
By combining clinical assessments, self-reported outcomes, and long-term tracking, TPF creates a comprehensive understanding of the impact of its programs. This data-driven approach informs ongoing program development, allowing us to refine interventions such as STRTP for at-risk youth, ArtGard’s creative wellness workshops, CalAIM’s integrated care management, and Healthcare Access’s crisis support. Ultimately, this ensures that TPF’s holistic, trauma-informed care continues to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
