Persons identifying as fathers with children in the home may benefit from one or more of the four core programs.

  • STRTP (Short-Term Residential Treatment Program): Fathers play an essential role in the STRTP by participating in family therapy and educational workshops designed to improve their mental and emotional well-being. Through Daddy Counts, fathers are provided with the tools to actively engage in their children’s care, while also receiving support for their own mental health challenges.
  • ArtGard Program: Daddy Counts integrates into ArtGard by offering fathers access to art and gardening workshops designed to reduce stress and build emotional resilience. These creative outlets provide fathers with a nontraditional approach to mental health care and help them foster stronger family bonds.
  • CalAIM Program: Under CalAIM, Daddy Counts supports fathers who are navigating healthcare challenges, offering them mental health resources, care coordination, and connections to community services. The program emphasizes reducing stigma and empowering fathers to take control of their health and well-being.
  • Healthcare Access Program: Daddy Counts is a key focus within Healthcare Access by providing fathers in crisis with short-term support, including mental health counseling and group therapy. The program helps fathers access trusted resources and transition into long-term mental health services if needed.
