Population of Focus #4 (Creating Happy Futures)
Persons identifying as Youth/Child between the ages of 0-17; who may benefit from one or more of the four core programs.
- STRTP (Short-Term Residential Treatment Program): Creating Happy Futures aligns directly with STRTP by providing therapeutic interventions for children with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The program focuses on building resilience and brain well-being, helping children in residential care develop the emotional regulation and coping skills necessary for long-term healing.
- ArtGard Program: Children in the Creating Happy Futures program are integrated into ArtGard through art, gardening, and mindfulness activities that teach emotional regulation, stress management, and resilience. These culturally inclusive practices help children process trauma and connect with their identities. Family Play Day and School Partnered workshops are ArtGard outreach activities.
- CalAIM Program: Within CalAIM, children in the Creating Happy Futures program receive care coordination and mental health support that addresses the effects of ACEs. The program helps link children to external resources, ensuring they receive the long-term care needed to promote healthy development.
- Healthcare Access Program: Healthcare Access serves as a bridge for children experiencing ACEs by offering short-term crisis intervention and group therapy to stabilize their emotional health. The program focuses on creating safe, supportive environments for children to heal before referring them to long-term services aimed at promoting resilience and brain well-being.
