Nakeya Fields: Nakeya T. Fields, LCSW, PPSE, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist (LCS 25754/RPT-S 1916)
Nakeya T. Fields is a mental health entrepreneur, educator, author, speaker and host. Nakeya is an alumna of the University of Southern California where she received a BA in Communication, a Master’s in Social Work and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Work and Child Welfare & Attendance. Nakeya is also a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor and a certified field instructor and clinical supervisor. Nakeya completed the 200 HR TT yoga instructor, trauma informed restorative yoga, and Mini Yogis Yoga for Kids certifications. She is licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California. She is also a UCLA-DMH Early Childhood Intervention Fellow. Nakeya has over 14 years of experience in developing and running mental health related community focused programming.
Amanda Gonzalez is a Care Coordinator for The Therapeutic Play Foundation (TPF). TPF is a non profit organization seeking to transform the world for the better by building resiliency and healthiercommunities; one family at a time. Our mission is to build group esteem and collective liberation in under-resourced communities to empower a healthier, more resilient world through empowerment, education,mindfulness, art and play. TPF partners with Innovative Wellness Consulting to provide whole person care.
KP Parks: KP is a 2nd year MSW intern at CSUN who plans to graduate this Spring. She hopes to work with kids, families, and communities in the future. KP also loves to foster kittens and is exploring AnimalAssisted Play Therapy as a possible specialty. You can catch her & her wife at the dog park with her 2 puppies most afternoons!
Josh Elliott: Josh is the Executive Assistant to Nakeya Fields. Josh has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and brings years of administrative experience to The Therapeutic Play Foundation (TPF).
Marilyn McClain: Marilyn R. McClain, is our Clinical Consultant is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work. She was employed for 25 years as a SocialService Practitioner with San Bernardino County Children and Family Services until her retirement in 2018. Her specialty is working in crisis situations with individuals, at risk children/youth and theirfamilies. Her aim is to assist individuals, children/youth54 and families to utilize healthy coping skills in working through mental health issues, life stressors and unpleasant situations. Thereby, creatingwellness and a healthy and safe living environment for all involved. Since retirement she has enjoyed spending quality time with her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
