The Therapeutic Play Foundation is a non profit organization that has a mission to build a healthier, more resilient world through empowerment, education and play. Through the provision of quality research based mental health interventions, we aim to assist children and their families to improve resiliency and coping skills; thereby improving overall family health and by extension, overall community health.
The Therapeutic Play Foundation offers mindfulness and play based therapeutic interventions (Mindful Play) in education and clinic based environments that may not be able to offer such a comprehensive program on their own. We offer these interventions to schools/agencies whose youth may have been exposed to stressors such as exposure to crime, domestic/gang violence, substance abuse, child abuse/neglect, frequent moves, an incarcerated parent, etc. Our philosophy is that we will support family units in an effort to stimulate the healthy, happy and secure development of the whole child: socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, morally and creatively. |
